BEHIND THE WORK
My creative life began in childhood, long before I had words for it. Formally, it took shape in 1982 at Ohio State, where I studied photography and cinema and learned to truly see. Following an instinct for warmer light and gentler winters, I moved south to Florida State University, and a summer at Parsons School of Design helped me discover my true language in visual communications.I’ve always balanced art and practicality. I honed my craft in print shops, publishing houses, and type studios before becoming a senior graphic artist for a national organization. Over two decades there, I witnessed design evolve from ink and paper to pixels and screens.Photography has long been a passion in my life, particularly analog film and the subtle, infinite shades of black and white. I love exploring how light, shadow, and texture can tell a story without words.Today, my creative work leans toward the playful and visual: bold colors, expressive typography, and an enduring curiosity about how things are made and experienced. In quieter moments, I paint with watercolors and explore architecture and interior design, always inspired by form, space, and the quiet poetry of everyday life. I love collaborating with others to turn ideas into experiences that are both beautiful and meaningful.Warmly,
